Previous Next Next Previous Hi, I'm Angela Fessler, LCSW/CSAC and the founder of Clear Perspective Clinical Services. I provide telehealth psychotherapy to adults throughout Wisconsin. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each individual's unique needs, with a focus on helping clients develop practical strategies to improve emotional well-being and overall functioning. Throughout my career, I have worked with adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment-related challenges, and co-occurring substance use disorders. My professional experience includes outpatient behavioral health, crisis services, and reentry programming for individuals involved in the criminal justice system. These roles have provided me with extensive experience supporting individuals navigating complex life circumstances and significant transitions. A particular area of interest is working with adults whose mental health has been affected by chronic medical conditions, pain, illness, or other health-related concerns. I recognize the strong connection between physical and emotional health and strive to help clients manage the psychological impact of medical diagnoses, treatment, lifestyle changes, and ongoing stress while improving quality of life. I believe effective care extends beyond the therapy session. When appropriate and with a client's consent, I collaborate with primary care providers, medical specialists, medication prescribers, probation or parole professionals, treatment programs, and other community resources to promote coordinated, comprehensive care. When additional services are needed, I assist clients with referrals to appropriate community supports. My therapeutic approach is grounded in respect, authenticity, and clinical knowledge. I strive to provide a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward meaningful and lasting change. Whether you are managing anxiety, depression, stress, the impact of a medical condition, recovery from substance use, or a major life transition, I look forward to partnering with you to help you gain clarity, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward your goals. Every person's path looks different, and therapy should meet you where you are. These are the areas I most often work with. Don't see exactly what you're looking for? Reach out and we can talk through whether it's a good fit. Individual Therapy Types of individualized therapy offered: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Motivational Interviewing (MI) Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Trauma-informed care Mindfulness-based interventions Behavioral Activation Strengths-based therapy Psychoeducation Coping skills training Collaborate with community services and healthcare providers Anxiety & Depression Trauma doesn't always look like a single dramatic event. It can be the accumulation of difficult experiences; childhood adversity, loss, abuse, neglect, medical trauma, or ongoing stress, that shapes how we see ourselves, others, and the world. When left unaddressed, trauma often shows up as anxiety, depression, hypervigilance, difficulty trusting others, or a persistent sense of unease that's hard to explain. Chronic Medical Conditions Living with a chronic health condition. whether it's chronic pain, diabetes, autoimmune disease, cardiovascular illness, cancer, transplants, or any long-term diagnosis, affects far more than just the body. The emotional toll of managing an ongoing condition is real, and it often goes unaddressed in traditional medical care. Anxiety about symptoms, grief over lost abilities or routines, frustration with an unpredictable body, and the exhaustion of navigating a healthcare system can all take a significant psychological toll. Major Life Transitions Life transitions, even positive ones, can bring significant emotional upheaval. Whether it's a career change, divorce, becoming a parent, retirement, relocation, loss of a loved one, addiction recovery, or reentry after incarceration, major transitions disrupt routine, identity, and a sense of control. What looks like "just change" from the outside can feel destabilizing, overwhelming, or even grief-inducing from the inside.
